NLNG issues Train 7 EPC Contract Letter of Intent to SCD JV Consortium

Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) on Wednesday September 11, 2019 made a significant step towards the Final Investment Decision (FID) for its Train 7 Project, with the issuance of a Letter of Intent for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract of the project to SCD JV Consortium.

SCD JV Consortium is made up of Saipem of Italy, Japan's Chiyoda and Daewoo of South Korea.

Speaking on behalf of Total at the signing ceremony in Abuja, General Manager LNG & Technical Partnership Assets (TPA), Mr Gwueke Ajaifia confirmed Total's commitment to the realisation of FID for Train 7 in 2019. He also restated Total's continued belief in Nigeria for over five decades evidenced by her presence in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the industry.

Total is one of the shareholders in NLNG with 15% equity. Volumes from T7 project will further add to the growing LNG portfolio of the group. TEPNG JV supplies 20% of the feed gas to the Bonny LNG plant.
